Second position for Carrasco in the last Superpole of the season. Tomorrow the first match point for the title

The final crucial weekend of the season for the Women's World Championship has officially begun, with the Evan Bros Racing Yamaha Team immediately in the right gear. In today's Superpole Ana Carrasco took second place, thus securing an important place on the front row.

In today's early morning session - with a dry track but still characterized by a few patches of wet - the first and only free practice session available was staged, with Ana immediately fast enough to take the top spot. The Spanish rider thus arrived in Superpole with the best feelings: here Ana set the second fastest time, stopping the clock at 1'51"718, just 47 thousandths away from pole position.

Tomorrow Carrasco and the Evan Bros Racing Yamaha Team will be back on track for the Warm Up - at 9.45 CET - but above all for Race 1, which will get underway at 11.50 over the distance of 11 laps. The race will be broadcast live on the championship's Youtube channel (@WorldWCR) and will above all be the first of the two match points at Ana's disposal to take the title. To finish the season in the best possible way Ana will have to score eight more points than Herrera in Race 1, and at the same time not lose more than 17 points to Sanchez.

Ana Carrasco
“I am very happy with today, as I felt very comfortable on the bike right from the start and I like the track a lot. In Superpole I was quick straight away: I wanted pole position but Sanchez was good and beat me by a few thousandths. Starting from the front row is always great: we are ready for Race 1”.
