Debise fights back and takes a valuable 5th place in Race 1 at Barcelona

Precious Saturday for Valentin Debise and the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team, who confirmed their great performance in Barcelona. In Race 1 in fact the French rider managed to obtain a beautiful fifth position.

After finishing the Warm Up in 15th position, Debise took to the track for Race 1. Starting from the 7th position of the grid, Valentin made a good start, immediately getting into the first positions.

Having managed the tyres in the right way in the first part of the race, in the second part the French rider battled with Montella and Navarro for fourth position, making himself the protagonist of many beautiful overtakes, until reaching 5th position under the chequered flag, equaling the result obtained in Race 2 at Phillip Island.

Tomorrow the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team will be back in action for the Warm Up and especially for Race 2 (15.15 CET), where Debise will start from the 5th position, by virtue of the 5th best time obtained in today's race.

"We improved compared to yesterday, in fact we had the potential to play for the podium, but the battle with Montella and Navarro allowed Schrotter to go away, and in the final part of the race it was complicated to find the right speed to think about a recovery. Fifth place is nevertheless an excellent result, from which to start in view of Race 2”.

"It was undoubtedly a positive day, where we confirmed ourselves among the protagonists of the category. It was not easy to be consistent throughout the whole race, but Valentin managed it, and only a few too many battles prevented him from fighting until the end for the podium. Tomorrow we will be able to take advantage of a better starting position to try again".
