Bienvenu Valentin! Debise and the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team together in the 2024 World Supersport Championship

The Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team is pleased to announce the signing of Valentin Debise, who will defend the colours of the Ravenna-based team in the 2024 WorldSSP championship. An experienced and fast rider, the Frenchman represents a certainty for Supersport, and can therefore aim for top results.

Born on 12 February 1992 in Albi, Debise can boast five years' experience in the MotoGP paddock, having raced in 125, 250 and Moto2 between 2007 and 2011, gaining points and major satisfaction in the quarter-liter class. In 2012 he made his debut in Supersport, scoring his first points in the third race, and then took part in a few rounds of the following two seasons. His return to the SBK paddock took place in 2020, when he made his debut in Superbike, scoring two valuable points.

Between 2021 and 2022 he was the absolute star of the French championship: involved in both the SBK and SSP classes, he was able to conquer two Supersport titles and two second places in Superbike. These results allowed him to make a permanent return to the Supersport World Championship in 2023, where on a Yamaha YZF-R6 he was able to reach the podium twice, finishing the season in fifth place. Awaiting Debise now is the R6 of the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team, with whom he will enjoy an exciting season.

Valentin Debise
“It's a dream for me to be part of the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team. I have been watching them since their beginning in WorldSSP, and I have been impressed from the results they achieved. So I’ll give my really maximum to fight for podiums and victories. I want to thank the team them for the warm welcoming, and I can’t’ wait to start the season!”.

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)
"During this 2023 I had the opportunity to meet Valentin several times, and a great feeling was immediately born. At the end of the season we started talking about a possible collaboration for 2024: an idea that became a goal after the test we did together at Jerez. We are convinced that we can aim for the top positions next season, compatibly with what will be the balance between the various bikes on the grid. As a team we have decided to believe in Yamaha again, just as the factory believes in us, and certainly the fifth place obtained by Valentin last season on the R6 is a good starting point for 2024. Now we have a winter of work ahead of us, to optimize our package in every detail and arrive ready for the first round at Phillip Island”.
