Race Saturday for the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha, busy at Jerez in the final weekend of the 2023 season. It was a day of ups and downs for Dalla Porta and the team from Ravenna, with a complicated Superpole followed by a positive Race 1, where the Tuscan rider obtained a solid P8.

In the morning Lorenzo took to the track for the Superpole, where he was unable to exploit the potential he had already shown yesterday: in the 10 laps completed the Tuscan rider finished 17th. A few hours later it was time for Race 1, where Dalla Porta started from 16th place, due to the start of a rival from the pit lane.

Got off to an excellent start, with three positions gained on the first lap alone, the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team rider moved up to 12th position on lap five. In the second half of the race Dalla Porta continued to show excellent pace, which allowed him to make up ground on the group in front of him, and he was able to climb up to eighth position.

An excellent result for team and rider, now ready for the final race day of the season. At 9.25 it will be time for the Warm Up, while at 12.30 the lights will go out for Race 2, which will last 17 laps.

"This morning we had a few problems, but I thank the team who changed the engine in record time before the race. Once in the race I made a good comeback: a mistake in the early stages caused me to lose contact with the group ahead of me, which I managed to catch later on. We made up for a day that started out not in the best of ways. Now we think about tomorrow, to close the season on a high note”.

"It was an exciting race, where Lorenzo did a lot of overtaking and gained a lot of positions. Unfortunately Superpole didn't go as we hoped, but even from problems you can learn something. Tomorrow we will go in search of another positive result".
