Round Just1 - Provisional pole position for Baldassarri and the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team at Mugell

First day completed for the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team and Lorenzo Baldassarri, who immediately obtained excellent results on the ups and downs of Mugello. In the first of the two qualifying sessions of Round Just1 of the CIV 2022 in fact the Italian rider took the provisional pole position, thus demonstrating great speed both on single lap and pace.

Friday on Tuscan soil opened with the final free practice session, where Baldassarri and the team from Ravenna continued their work in terms of finding the best setup, carrying out some useful tests both for the current weekend and for the future. Lorenzo put together 13 laps, taking the first place thanks to a time of 1'53"869.

In the afternoon the first of two qualifying sessions was staged, marked by a significant increase in both air and track temperatures. Despite the prohibitive conditions Baldassarri managed to confirm his speed, stopping the clock at 1'54"001 and taking provisional pole.

Having concluded Friday in style, the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team is ready to tackle the first race day. Day 2 will start at 11, with the second qualifying session, while at 15.10 the lights will go out for Race 1. The race will be visible on FedermotoTV. For FMI cardholders the races will be free of charge by activating the "FMI cardholder package", while all other users will be able to choose between two packages, subject to registration: "All season" and "One round".

Lorenzo Baldassarri: "I am very happy with how the day went. In the morning we did a good job in terms of setup, while in the afternoon I managed to be quick on the single despite the great heat. We are making good use of this race weekend, so we have to continue like this: tomorrow we will have Race 1, where we can certainly have fun and acquire new information”.
