Top ten for the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team on day one at Phillip Island

First day of practice concluded for the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team at the fascinating Australian track of Phillip Island. A day one characterised by sunshine and low temperatures, which was useful for Lorenzo Baldassarri and Peter Sebestyen to acquire the first information. Lorenzo obtained 7th position in the combined classification of the two sessions held, Peter 16th.

In FP1 Baldassarri put together 21 laps, managing to take 7th position, while Sebestyen 15th with the same number of passes. In the afternoon FP2 the riders were able to benefit from a slight increase in temperature: Lorenzo took 6th place, with 19 laps completed. Peter the 16th with 21 laps completed.

With the first day of practice over, it is time for the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team to prepare for tomorrow, first race day. At 2.25 CET the final Superpole of the season will take place, while at 4.30 CET the lights will go out for Race 1, which will be contested over a distance of 18 laps.

Lorenzo Baldassarri:
"As always, riding at Phillip Island is great. It's been a positive first day, even though I still haven't been able to ride as I would like: we're analyzing the data, in order to be ready for Superpole and Race 1".

Peter Sebestyen:
"Practice didn't go as we hoped, but tomorrow the conditions will probably change, so it's all to be expected".
